I will give thanks to Thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Thy works, and my soul knows it very well. Psalm 139:14

Halloween 2011

Sunday night was pumpkin carving night!  Always a good time.  The kids were all very into it this year.  All 3 of them were up to their elbows in pumpkin goop!  They drew their own faces with a marker (Jilly had some help) and Daddy and I did the carving.  Calvin begged to do his own, and swore he knew how to use the knife.  Sorry pal, not gonna happen.

As I looked at these pictures today I realized there are a lot of Jillian carving.  It was just so funny to watch her stick her tiny little arm into that pumkin.  She was serious about her job!

Isn't this the way it always goes?  Everyone starts out strong, and in the end.....it's just mom.

Monday night we got to hang with Justin Morneau, Dr. Nathan, and Belle.

Jillian literally wore her princess dress ALL day.  Along with the tiara we brought her from Disney World.  She used to know these as crowns, but Papa taught her differently and she doesn't let us forget.  She is in love with Beauty and the Beast, so being Belle was a no brainer.  Nathan took his job as a doctor very seriously and told me if I had a tummy ache or anything...he would take care of it.  And Calvin was just right at home in his baseball attire.  Just dress rehearsal for what he'll be doing in 20 years.  According to him.

On Halloween we always go trick or treating with our good friends in their neighborhood.  But...since they went and moved away on us, we had to make new plans.  We decided to go to our church's carnival.  This was an awesome move.  No bundling up, and the kids had a ball.  Here is Belle entering the carnival.

This princess wouldn't try it, but the bouncy house was a HUGE hit with the boys.

There were lots of games too.  A favorite was the cake walk.  Don't they look cute?

We had a fantastic night of fun and fellowship and didn't come home with 10 pounds of candy for me to slowly but steadily eat.  A win in my book!
